Who's up for Turkish food?
...don't get caught telling a Turk or a Greek this, but the two foods are very alike. Berlin is the fourth-largest Turkish city in the world, over 500,000 Turks here, so we have some excellent restaurants.
I was thinking about doing a big reservation at Hasir on Oranienburger Strasse. It's a little confusing because they have four locations, one of them right next to the Hotel Ellington, but the other location in Mitte is a lot more fun, and in the most rocking part of town.
Prices are mid-level, and we can control matters by just putting a bunch of mixed appetizers in the middle - the most fun part of the meal anyway.
Lemme know if you're in the mood within this thread, by replying below.
for me it's ok!
I'm happy to go along with the Turkish restaurant. Sounds like you've been tremendously busy setting things up for this meet. You have SO earned that beer!
I've already tasted indian, indonesian, syrian, lebanese, chinese, etc. food, so I'm up for some kebabs!
sounds perfect :) count me in!
Me too....
Count me in as well. Sounds very interesting!
BTW, are we planning something for Friday night as well? Or does it depend on how many of us have already arrived?
we're going to meet at the hotel where we have a "gallery", a bar, and a menu and just spend some time, anf hang out. Then we might go out for some night-time street photography.
Bring your fastest prime lens!

"...don't get caught telling a Turk or a Greek this, but the two foods are very alike."
Yeah... I'm pretty sure saying that would get you killed here. ;) I live on the border of Little Istanbul here in Amsterdam, so I'd love to see how the German Turkish food stacks up. It's great food, even though half the time I don't know what I'm eating (they don't translate the menus here).
following the latest tv-news in germany, lets hope that they are "clean" :-)
guess we'll find someone who check out the kitchen first..haha..
Turkish is OK for us! (Núria and me)
A bit late (hope not too late) but count me in too!
By not replying to this thread I of course meant: yes, I'm in! :-)
LOL ok.
i never thinkn of greek and turkish food as being alike.
that place in mitte always looks like fun. never been yet. count me in too.
Ok, here's the Master Dinner List - we hae 19 so far, my reservation right now is for 20, but I can expand up to Friday night.

I'd love to come along too, if there's still space :)
No problem!
I had long-planned date tomorrow already, but now I don't know whether it actually takes place. In case it doesn't, is there still space for me?
Bad news from my side. I'll not be able to make it to the meet because I went and sprained my ankle y'day playing football :( So need to stay in bed according to the doctor. I hope this does not inconvenience any of the organizer's plans. My apologies if it does. Hope you all have a great time!
