Rough Schedule for Berlin

Ok, before we post something semi-official sounding, here's a quick version of how I see part of the weekend happening. Please feel free to suggest changes and additions. I'd like to have some kind of sign-up sheet, and we can see which of the locals might help guide some of these efforts.

-----------

FRIDAY

I know some of you are arriving earlier, feel free to check in with me. I will e-mail you my cell number upon request. Chrys and Fred and some others are arriving early, I have some off-the-beaten-path locations in mind we could go shoot - and if we're enough people I'm just going to go rent a minivan for the day (or the weekend).

FRIDAY NIGHT

18:00 - 22:00 - Bar and Gallery at the Hotel Ellington, say hi, get to know one another, and just spend time together.

22:00 - much later - some night-time shooting, or a pub crawl, or a combination

SATURDAY

11:00 Group Picture in front of Brandenburg Gate - a recognizable landmark, feel free to suggest something cooler. We will need to hunt down a competent-looking tourist and ask him/her to take the picture with two of our cameras.

11:30 - 16:00 - The Photo Hunt. Basically just sight-seeing through Berlin's Mitte with various goals/targets/subjects, and a slight competitive element. Winning team gets prizes! I am about to take up Jock-L on his offer to help me think this through. He has some really good ideas.

SATURDAY NIGHT

20:45 - 22:00 - Second night of Fireworks competition. If anyone wants to go shoot this we will coordinate a group.

OR

20:00 - 23:00 - Dinner at Turkish Restaurant, please sign up here.

23:00 - much later - night shooting, or pub crawl, or combination.

SUNDAY

10:00 Brunch anyone? Maybe shooting at a funky flea-market? We could hit some of those photo exhibitions...

Ok, let's get some input and suggestions. The good thing about working with Photobloggers is that we're not shy and people have opinions.

This all looks good to me - maybe worth noting that Friday night @ the Ellington is the actual "meetup" and we'll have a couple of other items going on, such as door prize raffle, virtual gallery exhibition, etc.

I say let's put the "official" stamp on this if no one has any objections.

Looks great, guys! I think it is a very varied program which has something in it for everyone's liking.

Definitely also interested in the off-beat locations on Friday. I will be arriving at the airport at 9:50, so that should give us all afternoon.
